Security notice: log4j Java Vulnerability

A vulnerability, called Log4Shell, was found in Log4j 2. Log4j is an open-source Apache logging library. This library is used by many popular applications, services, and Java components. The vulnerability is indexed as CVE-2021-44228 and assessed as a critical vulnerability. The flaw enables an attacker to execute arbitrary code on the affected system. Even though the vulnerability is severe, our products and services are not impacted.

We know UnderHost customers love PrestaShop, so we wanted to let you know that PrestaShop 1.7.1 is available! We suggest you upgrade your installation to this version as soon as possible, If you are running PrestaShop from Softaculous, you can now update within one Click simply make sure to create a backup first before doing any modification to your PrestaShop core. As you know, the 1.7 release was launched at the end of 2016 and we’ve had an incredible response from the community. Today we’re very happy to announce the release of 1.7.1. This important version of PrestaShop includes a number of enhancements and fixes including: • Improvements to the mobile navigation • An ‘upgrade all’ feature on modules • New hooks added • Improvements for translators • New native modules, including one for PayPal • Enhancements to the starter theme • 1-click upgrade from 1.6 to 1.7.1 (beta) In addition to this, we’ve improved the overall performance of 1.7.1, and the release is now available in 7 languages, with more on the way. For those of you who are interested in upgrading from 1.6 to 1.7, please know that we’re working on an automatic upgrade for you as well. Stay tuned for announcements.
