How to Configure WHM’s Basic WebHost Manager

1. Access WHM

  • Log into WHM as the root user.
  • Navigate to Home > Server Configuration > Basic WebHost Manager Setup.

2. Set Your Contact Information

  • Enter a primary contact email address to receive server notifications.
  • Optionally, add secondary contact methods such as SMS or a different email.

3. Configure Default Nameservers

  • Specify custom nameservers (e.g., ns1.yourdomain.com and ns2.yourdomain.com).
  • Register these nameservers with your domain registrar.

4. Set Up Server Services

  • Choose the default FTP service (Pure-FTPd or ProFTPD).
  • Configure mail settings (Exim) and enable spam filters if needed.

5. Save Changes

  • Click Save to apply your settings.
  • Restart services if required to ensure proper functionality.
