How to Configure WHM’s Basic WebHost Manager
1. Access WHM
- Log into WHM as the root user.
- Navigate to Home > Server Configuration > Basic WebHost Manager Setup.
2. Set Your Contact Information
- Enter a primary contact email address to receive server notifications.
- Optionally, add secondary contact methods such as SMS or a different email.
3. Configure Default Nameservers
- Specify custom nameservers (e.g.,
ns1.yourdomain.com
andns2.yourdomain.com
). - Register these nameservers with your domain registrar.
4. Set Up Server Services
- Choose the default FTP service (Pure-FTPd or ProFTPD).
- Configure mail settings (Exim) and enable spam filters if needed.
5. Save Changes
- Click Save to apply your settings.
- Restart services if required to ensure proper functionality.
