How to Add an Addon Domain in cPanel
Follow these steps to add an addon domain:
Step 1: Access the Addon Domains Tool
- Log in to your cPanel account.
- Navigate to the Domains section and click on Addon Domains.
Step 2: Enter Addon Domain Details
- In the New Domain Name field, enter the domain you want to add.
- The Subdomain/FTP Username field will be auto-filled.
- In the Document Root field, specify the directory where the website’s files will be stored.
Step 3: Set an FTP Password (Optional)
- Enter a secure password if you want FTP access for the addon domain.
- Click Add Domain to complete the process.
Important: The domain must be registered and its nameservers should point to your hosting provider before adding it as an addon domain.

How to Remove an Addon Domain
Step 1: Access the Addon Domains Tool
- Go to Domains > Addon Domains in cPanel.
Step 2: Remove the Addon Domain
- Find the addon domain you want to remove.
- Click Remove next to the domain name.
Tip: If you no longer need an addon domain but want it to redirect to another website, use the Manage Redirection option instead.
